I can see his appearance at the James Brown funeral last year being, by and large, an organic thing (maybe a teeny tiny bit for show). But this recent stuff is like a politician going back to his "base" constituents, with a plan to rebuild his audience from there. And listen, I've got nothing against him trying to start over, if people want what he selling fine, let em buy it. But Ebony? And that kind of cover? I'm gonna go with "ill advised." Exactly.
